Sabine Moritz

And her memory museum, embedded in abstraction.

Female artist strongly on our watch is Sabine Moritz - a former student, muse and wife of the renowned German artist, Gerhard Richter. Her deeply psychological abstract paintings, playing on the themes of conscious and subconscious memories, inner and outer world's juxtaposition, convert intangible feelings into tangible works of art.

Sabine's overlapping bold brushstrokes of complimentary colors over and over create clashing lines and shapes, as if a plethora of memories, emerging from our subconscious, each vie for our attention.

Currently on display at two Pilar Corrias gallery spaces in Central London, her works have garnered significant interest from both collectors and institutions alike.

As recently as in July, 2022, Sabine Moritz's painting 'Cheerful Spleen', 2022, has more than doubled the low estimate of £20,000 and sold for £50,400 at Christie's online sale.

Being featured in eminent collections like LVMH in Paris and Tate Modern in London, her work has proven to be of the highest museum-grade quality.

At MERVEILLE Art Advisory, we believe Sabine Moritz's artworks to be a sound investment, as we project the value of her works will continue to rise.
